You can order certified translation online by simply filling out the quote form, sending a fax to 1-83, or by emailing us a copy of the documents to be translated. You don’t need a notarized translation if you decide to staple the original document (birth certificate, etc.) to the translation. Notarized translations are usually required for education related documents such as high school transcripts or foreign diplomas. This copy has to be stapled to the certified translation.

CERTIFIED AND NOTARIZED TRANSLATION REGISTRATION

We add a paragraph at the bottom of the translated document to certify the accuracy of the translation and provide details of the affiliation to the STIBC as well as the accredited translator registration number. A certified translation can only be provided by a translator who has been accredited by an officially recognized translation body such as the STIBC – Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia. Certified translations are usually required for legal documents such as business contracts, court transcripts, immigration documents, adoption agreements, birth or marriage certificates, police clearance certificates, passport stamps, employment records and diplomas. A certified translation means that the translator has provided a signed statement that the translation is a true and accurate translation of the original. As a result, the delivery time of the legalized/notarized certified translation can be extended by one or more working days.Most authorities in Canada, such as Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Service Canada, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency and many other agencies, require officially certified translations.

Please note that, due to the sanitary crisis we are living, it has become compulsory for our sworn translators to make an appointment to have their signature authenticated/legalized at the city hall or at the notary's office. Please note that there is an exception for certified translations of French-English-German languages: our certified translator for English and French is also certified for German. If your ordered the certified translation of your document into 2 different languages, your documents will be processed by 2 sworn translators: you will then have to order twice the authentication of signature. The authentication of signature is at the single rate of €60 including VAT, regardless of the number of documents (if the language pair is unique). However, if your translation is to be used abroad, you may need the authentication/legalization of the signature of our sworn translator. In most cases, a certified classic translation is sufficient and the signature of the sworn translator does not need to be legalised.
